The H-ORANGE, which sits beautifully on its own, is located in the middle of Tokyo near a small field with trees. The architects took advantage of the view by opening up the the west side of the second floor with widely opened windows, as well a large terrace. However the view is unfortunately walled by bricks which makes the area feel restricted. To combat that issue there is a "Tilt Beam" which spans 12 meters over the terrace. The "Tilt beam" hides the brick wall from view, so that only only the blue sky and green woods are visible form within the home. Its also functional on a practical level too, by preventing people form falling off the terrace as well as introducing more privacy to the family home.
